In the first 8 months of 2014 UTair Group aircraft transported a total of 7,455,569 passengers, marking a 14.07% increase over the same period in 2013. Passenger turnover for the Group reached 15,819,760,770 pkm, with 4.97% growth in domestic flight operations and a 46.95% increase in international operations.
The growth of these performance indicators first and foremost reflects the integration of Impulse, a new UTair efficiency improvement program aimed at optimizing the airline's route network and fleet management. Impressive results of the initial implementation phases demonstrate the program's viability and effectiveness.
Passenger load factor for the Group reached 81.73%, a 3.92% increase over the same period in 2013. The volume of UTair Group postal deliveries increased by 68.34 % and reached 3,260.03 tons.
UTair Group helicopters logged a total of 96,913 flight hours in the January-August 2014 period. For the reporting period UTair Group helicopters delivered 62,139.92 tons of cargo and transported 496,206 passengers.
According to preliminary estimates, it is expected that the implementation of the Impulse program will reduce UTair production costs by 10 billion rubles by the end of 2015.
UTair Aviation is the core enterprise of UTair Group consisting of companies performing aircraft operations with fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft as well as enterprises offering MRO, personnel training, flight services and air transportation sales services. The Group includes UTair-Express, UTair-Ukraine, UTair CJSC, UTair-Helicopter services , Turuhan Airlines, Vostok Airlines, Helisur, UTair Europe, UTair South Africa, and UTair India as well as TS-Technik, UTair-Engineering, Ural aviation services, UTG, UTair-Armenia and other enterprises. UTair Group headquarters are located in Surgut, Tyumen, Khanty-Mansisk, Moscow and other places in Russia and abroad.
