UZIN UTZ SE Christian Richter (41) will be appointed as a new member of the board of the Uzin Utz AG from 01 October. With effect from January 2023, he will be responsible for Finance and Controlling, Compliance, Risk Management and Investor Relations, succeeding Heinz Leibundgut, who will leave the company on 31 December.

Heinz Leibundgut (65), member of the board, will retire at the end of December 2022 after 23 years with the company, seven of them on the board, when his contract expires. His successor will be Christian Richter (41) as of 1 October 2022, who will take over the Finance and Controlling, Compliance, Risk Management and Investor Relations departments from Mr Leibundgut as of 1 January 2023. Uzin Utz AG is thus reorganising its board team.
With his many years of international experience in finance at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, Christian Richter provides the prerequisites for a global company such as Uzin Utz. Christian Richter (41), born in Jena, has held various management positions in the finance sector during his career. Most recently, he was responsible for global Group Controlling as Head of Group Controlling, Vice President at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (>€1.6 billion turnover).

As a result, the Uzin Utz board will consist of Heinz Leibundgut (until his retirement in December 2022), Julian Utz, Philipp Utz and Christian Richter from 1 October 2022.
