Christian Hillabrant takes office as CEO of Vantage Towers AG

Düsseldorf, 3 August 2023 - Christian Hillabrant officially joined the Management Board and became Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of Vantage Towers AG ("Vantage Towers"), one of Europe's leading tower operators, on 28 July 2023. He took up his position in Düsseldorf this week, succeeding Thomas Reisten, Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of Vantage Towers, who had led the company on an interim basis. The Supervisory Board of Vantage Towers had appointed Christian Hillabrant as CEO in June this year. On 2 August, Pierre Klotz was elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vantage Towers AG following Dr Rüdiger Grube, who stepped down from the Supervisory Board of Vantage Towers AG after conclusion of the successful Annual General Meeting on 27 June.

Christian Hillabrant has extensive expertise in the telecommunications sector. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at Tillman Infrastructure, a fast-growing wireless tower company in the United States. He also held various senior positions at Ericsson, including Chief Operating Officer for Europe/North America, and as Regional Vice President at T-Mobile USA. Christian Hillabrant was a member of the Supervisory Board of Ericsson Telecommunications GmbH in Germany.

While already 100% of the electricity that Vantage Towers uses to operate its infrastructure is obtained from renewable energy sources, green energy generation is piloted directly on site with the help of solar panels and micro wind turbines, and also hydrogen solutions are under testing.
