Verizon Launches Plan to Add Second Number on Same Phone

Verizon Communications launched a new plan allowing customers to access a second line on their phone for an additional $10 a month.

The telecommunications company's plan, dubbed Second Number, gives customers a second unlimited talk and text line on their same phone. The plan allows them to have more than one phone number without needing a second phone or paying the cost of a full plan.

Verizon said it's launching the plan as more customers rely on two numbers given increasing needs ranging from running side gigs to replace landlines.
