Vivo Energy Kenya, the company that distributes and markets Shell products and services in the country, has signed a partnership with CMC Motors, the franchise holder of Hero Motorbikes in Kenya, which will ensure that Shell Advance is the exclusive motorcycle oil supplied to Hero motorbikes assembled in Kenya.

Through this partnership, the companies aim to offer customers the best aftersales care for their motorcycles by providing them with quality and genuine oil that reduces maintenance costs, gives better service, and provides value for their money.

During the contract signing ceremony Mr. Alan Crossan, the CEO of CMC Group, said, "aftersales remains a core part of our mission and business. We are excited to partner with Vivo Energy Kenya/Shell Advance to enable Hero motorbike customers to access the highest quality oil and parts at more convenient locations across Kenya.' To which the Vivo Energy Kenya Managing Director, Mr. Peter Murungi, added, "Vivo Energy Kenya is as equally excited to partner with CMC Motors and have Shell Advance be the exclusive motorcycle oil supplied to all Hero Motorbikes in Kenya from the initial fill. "Motorbikes are an essential part of our economy; Vivo Energy Kenya understands the importance of a motorbike rider being always on the move to make a livelihood. We have invested in the best and have availed in the market the number one lubricant (Shell Advance). When motorbike riders use Shell Advance, they are assured of making a saving due to reduced downtime for repairs and in turn save money."

He added that; "every Hero motorbike will be sold with a co-branded (Shell Advance & Hero) warranty sticker. The two organisations will also be partaking in various exclusive joint marketing activities, including the co-branding of 500 spare parts shops that CMC Motors plans to recruit in 2023 and joint mechanics trainings and service clinics."
