Voltas Limited reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and six months ended September 30, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was INR 22,674.3 million compared to INR 17,391.2 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 23,637.3 million compared to INR 18,327.4 million a year ago. Net income was INR 366.8 million compared to net loss of INR 74.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.11 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of INR 0.22 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.11 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of INR 0.22 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 56,027.7 million compared to INR 44,803.4 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 57,935.6 million compared to INR 46,274.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,659.7 million compared to INR 1,014.7 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 5.02 compared to INR 3.07 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 5.02 compared to INR 3.07 a year ago.
Voltas Limited is an India-based air conditioning and engineering solutions provider and a projects specialist. The Company's segments include Unitary Cooling Products, Electro - Mechanical Projects and Services, and Engineering Products and Services. Unitary Cooling Products segment includes manufacturing, selling and after sales services of cooling appliances and cold storage products, and facilities maintenance and hard services, such as operations and maintenance contracts in various sectors, retrofits and energy management, among others. Electro - Mechanical Projects and Services segment includes electro-mechanical projects, such as electricals, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, extra low voltage and specialized services, and water solutions, such as comprises water treatment solutions for industrial, oil and gas and domestic sewage segments, among others.
