Wacom Co., Ltd. announced that Mr. Takashi Ebitani, Audit and Supervisory Committee Director of the Board will retire at the conclusion of the 34th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on June 23, 2017. Mr. Wataru Toyoda satisfies the conditions required to be an independent officer specified by the Tokyo Stock Exchange. After the appointment of Mr. Toyoda to an outside director is approved at the 34th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, the company is to proceed to file for an appointment as an independent officer with TSE. Yukio Usuda was appointed as EVP, Corporate Strategy. Prior to this he joined Toshiba Corporation in April 1991, in July 2004 he joined Matsushita Toshiba Picture Display Co., Ltd., in Jan. 2005 he joined Wacom Co., Ltd., in April 2009 he was General Manager, Global Marketing and Sales Division, Business Administration Office and in April 2015 he was Vice President, CEO Office. The company appointed Nobutaka Ide as EVP, Technology Solution Business Unit. Prior to this in April 1995 he joined Sharp Corporation and in August 2013 he joined Wacom Co., Ltd. General Manager, Technology Marketing Department, Component Business Unit, and in April 2015- July 2015 he was Vice President, Technology Solution Business Unit.
