CLARIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Reference is made to the announcement (the "Announcement") of Wai Kee Holdings Limited (the "Company") dated 31st December, 2018 in relation to, among other things, the appointment of Mr. Ho Gilbert Chi Hang as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 31st December, 2018.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") would like to clarify that as at the date of the Announcement, save for the interest in an aggregate principal amount of US$200,000 senior guaranteed perpetual capital securities issued by RKI Overseas Finance 2017 (A) Limited, an associated corporation of the Company, Mr. Ho Gilbert Chi Hang did not have, and was not deemed to have, any interests and short positions in any shares, underlying shares or debentures of the Company and its associated corporations within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
