The Wharf Group Receives the Second Top Donor Award from The Community Chest for the 2020/21 Campaign Year

29th September, 2021, Hong Kong - Backed by a long-standing mission of "Building for Tomorrow", the Wharf Group ("Wharf") spare no effort to help the people in need through various community programmes. The Group receives the Second Top Donor Award and Distinguished Award presented by the Community Chest at the Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Government House today. Mr Stephen Ng, Chairman and Managing Director of The Wharf Group attended the ceremony and received the award from Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (see photo).

Over the past three decades, Wharf has been an active supporter to the Chest since 1990. In early 2020, the pandemic outbreak hammered Hong Kong economy and all sectors, upending people's livelihoods. In face of the unprecedented challenges, Wharf pledged additional donations including making a special donation of HK$5 million to the Chest's Anti-NCP Rainbow Fund to help individuals and families in financial hardship due to COVID-19. Wharf also continued its support for the Chest's fundraising activities such as Corporate and Employee Contribution Programme, Dress Casual Day and TVB All Star Games.
