Zooplus AG Reports Sales Results for the Second Quarter and First Half Year of 2018; provides sales guidance for the full year 2018

zooplus AG reported sales results for the second quarter and first half year of 2018. For first half year, the company generated sales of EUR 643 million in the first half of 2018, according to preliminary figures, which is equivalent to growth of 24% or EUR 126 million in the same period in the prior year first half 2017, EUR 517 million. Sales growth adjusted for currency effects amounted to 25%.
For the second quarter, the company reported sales increased 23% year-on-year (currency-adjusted 24%) to EUR 320 million compared to EUR 260 million a year ago. This is equal to an absolute year-on-year increase of EUR 60 million compared to a year-on-year increase of just EUR 39 million in the same quarter of the prior year.
For the full year 2018, the company sales growth forecast confirmed at 21% to 23%.
