Home appliance giant Beko unveils new logo which will appear on the sleeve of the new team jersey for the next four years

The global home appliance brand and FC Barcelona will work together on global marketing and social responsibility strategies



BARCELONA, Spain, June 30th 2014 - FC Barcelona and Beko announced today the signing of a new agreement which will see the global home appliance group become the Club's worldwide sponsorship partner for the next four years. The deal will see Beko's new logo, also unveiled today, featured on the sleeve of the new team jersey and training kit - a first for any commercial brand.

The new kit was unveiled today at FC Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium in the presence of Mustafa V. Koç, Koç Holding Chairman of the Board; Levent Çakıroğlu, President of Koç Holding Durable Goods Group and Arçelik A.Ş CEO; Josep Maria Bartomeu, President of FC Barcelona and Javier Faus i Santasusana; Vice President of FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona and Beko will be bringing together their two global brands to help achieve their shared strategic marketing and social responsibility objectives.

The partnership will be symbolised by the presence of the Beko logo on the arm of the first team shirt worn for all Spanish League and Cup games during the 2014/15 season, as well as for friendlies and summer tour games.

Speaking at the launch in the Camp Nou, Mustafa V. Koç, Koç Holding Chairman of the Board, said: "It gives me great pleasure to be part of such a significant moment, which brings together two world renowned brands: 'Beko and FC Barcelona' within one partnership. Beko's expansion into global markets has been a success story. The international recognition and awards Beko wins for its innovative products and its state-of -the-art technology makes us proud and honoured. Such achievements lift our spirits to do even more. Today is the start of what I am sure will be a long and mutually rewarding relationship between Beko and FC Barcelona, because both brands have so many shared values, inspirations and beliefs."

Mr Koç added: "Barcelona FC's motto is Més que un club (More than a club), and likewise, Beko always strive to be more and do more. I know that together, Beko and FC Barcelona will achieve great things over the coming years.

Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of FC Barcelona added: "FC Barcelona are proud to have Beko as part of the Barça family. Beko has previously worked in sport, particularly basketball, and they have now put their trust in Barça and we have put our trust in Beko. We will be beginning a new journey together, which I am sure will bring us both great satisfaction.
