On October 10, 13 women from New AREVA were rewarded in the 9th edition of the FEM'Energia Awards organized by EDF and WiN France (Women in Nuclear). These awards were instigated 9 years ago to recognize and promote gender diversity in areas of predominantly masculine intake and to highlight the careers of women in the nuclear industry.

New AREVA, featured as one of the partners, was awarded 3 prizes in the presence of Antoine Troesch, Senior Executive Vice President of New AREVA's Chemistry-Enrichment Business Unit and Philippe Thurat, Director of Diversity:

- The first prize in the 2/3-year Post-Bac Student award category went to Marjolaine Habouzit, a work-study intern on the vocational Bachelor course in 'Management of activities in a nuclear environment', at the IRUP School in Saint-Etienne. Her work experience is with the Engineering section of the AREVA Projects Business Unit in Equeurdreville in north-western France,

- The second prize for the Career Women Award went to Julie Pasquereau, assistant installation manager. She works in the vitrification facility at the la Hague plant (Recycling Business Unit) in north-western France,

- The special 'Coup de Cœur' prize was won by a team of 11 women: Céline Belhomme, Virginie Bertrand, Justine Bono, Valérie Chevalier, Laurence Gazagnes, Marlène Giroux, Lorraine Leite, Erika Grimaldi, Sophie Lentini, Dorine Léo and Sonia Marre who all work in production in the Chemistry-Enrichment activities at the Tricastin industrial facility in south-eastern France.

Philippe Thurat, Director of Diversity of New AREVA, underlines this outstanding recognition: 'Congratulations to our winners! Progress in terms of gender-balance and the diversity of women's careers is one of the major challenges for the future of New AREVA. Progress is real but requires ongoing commitment.'
