Based on its new scope of fully-consolidated companies, Assystem's consolidated revenue rose by 4.0% in the year ended 31 December 2017, breaking down as 4.0% in organic growth (6.8% excluding the impact of revenue decreases from Radicon and the Staffing business), a 1.0% increase due to changes in the scope of consolidation and a 1.0% negative currency effect.
As was the case in the third quarter, revenue growth for the fourth quarter was hindered by the challenging operating conditions for Radicon and the Staffing business. Conversely, revenue from Nuclear activities kept up a brisk pace of growth during the quarter, advancing 10.0% year on year as reported or 10.1% on an organic basis.
ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE
Revenue for Energy & Infrastructure rose 7.4% to €341.3 million in 2017, breaking down as 6.6% organic growth, a 1.6% increase due to changes in the scope of consolidation, and a 0.8% negative currency effect. The fact that there were fewer business days during the year compared with 2016 trimmed an estimated 0.8% from the organic growth figure.
Revenue from Nuclear activities came to €205.5 million, up 8.9% as reported or 9.6% on an organic basis. This strong showing was led by demand for engineering services related to (i) the construction of new reactors in France and abroad and (ii) maintenance of existing nuclear power plants in France.
Revenue for Energy Transition & Infrastructures rose 5.3% to €135.8 million, breaking down as 2.1% organic growth, a 3.9% increase due to changes in the scope of consolidation, and a 0.7% negative currency effect. Momentum remained very satisfactory in the transport infrastructures and life sciences sectors but Radicon's revenue decline shaved 2.7% off organic growth for the year and the conventional energy business continued to suffer from the effects of reduced market opportunities in Europe.

STAFFING
At €45.1 million, revenue for the Staffing business in 2017 retreated 13.2% year on year at constant exchange rates, or 15.3% on a reported basis, as performance was weighed down throughout the year by lower business volumes in the oil & gas sector. However, projects in the industry sector have now started up which should help to at least stabilise annual revenue in 2018.
ASSYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES GROUPE
Assystem Technologies Groupe - in which Assystem holds a 38.2% stake - posted revenue of €673.6 million for 2017, compared with €577.5 million in 2016. This robust 16.7% increase breaks down as 13.4% in organic growth, a 4.1% positive impact from changes in scope of consolidation and a 0.8% negative currency effect. Revenue from Aerospace and Automotive activities amounted to €387.4 million and €236.6 million respectively, representing year-on-year rises of 14.8% for Aerospace and 22.1% for Automotive.
HEADCOUNT
Based on its new scope of fully-consolidated companies, Assystem had a total of 4,832 employees at 31 December 2017 versus 4,603 one year earlier.
FULL-YEAR 2017 EBITA MARGIN
The Group is standing by its expectation that it will achieve a significant increase in EBITA margin in 2017, based on its current scope of fully consolidated companies.
