Carrefour Brasil and Rappi, a fast delivery app, have set up a partnership to sell and deliver food items.
It's the beginning of a new era for shopping experience in Brasil. Carrefour Brasil and Rappi, a fast delivery app, are partnering to guarantee speed and range and offer another shopping channel in different cities.

There are two modes offered by the service: 'express' delivery within 35 minutes, and 'supermarkets', for delivery within an hour. Initially, the service will be offered through the traditional picking modelin Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets. However, in the coming months, the companies will pilot a new operational model based on the retail chain's dark stores, where Carrefour itself will do the picking and Rappi will handle the delivery.

The new model brings efficiency to the operation, since the stock, separated from the sales area of the stores, will be dedicated only to supply the delivery service, eliminating the traditional steps and ensuring even more assertive assortment and speed.

After a few weeks of testing in January this year, when demand was higher than expected, Carrefour now offers the service in 12 Brazilian cities, among São Paulo, Brasília and Porto Alegre. In the future, service will be in all the municipalities Carrefour operates. Offering the delivery of products at the same prices as at physical stores, Rappi sends its personal shoppers to Carrefour stores - professionals trained to choose the best items for the users. The clients can also talk in real time with this assistant and even ask for a photo of the goods to evaluate them and can replace them if necessary.
