Acquisition of a new production plant in Romania

De' Longhi announces the acquisition of a production plant in Romania in Madaras, Bihor County. The site is composed by two buildings of around total 25,000 square meters, with already operating injection machines and EPS (expanded polystyrene) production facilities which can be used by the Group for its production.

This deal is meant to support the expected organic growth pursued by the Group in the main markets and is consistent with the strategy to reduce the time to market of our products, preserving quality and control. This new location will employee more than 500 workers and, backed by the successful experience achieved in the Romanian Cluji region, will strengthen the Group's presence in the region.

De' Longhi is the only pure player among the leaders in small domestic appliances. With revenues of more than € 2 billion, the Group is active in the design, manufacture and distribution of coffee makers, kitchen and cooking appliances, air conditioners and heaters, as well as home care products.
