Everest Re : Insurance® Adds Kurt Hines to Specialty Insurance Group

CARMEL, IN - October 1, 2019 - Everest Insurance^® is pleased to announce that Kurt Hines has joined the company as Vice President of Underwriting in the Specialty Insurance Group (SIG), a leading provider of insurance for the sports, leisure and entertainment industries. In this role, Kurt will be responsible for overseeing all underwriting activities for this business.

Prior to joining Everest, Kurt was the President of Aslan Risk Advisors in Philadelphia, a consulting practice he founded dedicated to the P&C insurance and risk management industries. Previously, Kurt held the title of Senior Vice President - Underwriting at Philadelphia Insurance Companies, where he was responsible for all underwriting functions related to the Sports & Recreation and Public Services divisions. Kurt also spent 17 years at Zurich North America, where he held numerous management positions across the organization. He got his start in the industry at the St. Paul Companies as an actuary.

Kurt has an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Business Administration and Actuarial Science from the University of Minnesota. He is also a recognized Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
