Director Resignation

On June 23, 2020, Roberto Pedro Rosenkranz, Ph.D., M.B.A., provided notification of his resignation from the Board of Directors (the "Board") of FibroGen, Inc. (the "Company") effective June 30, 2020. Mr. Rosenkranz's resignation as a director is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices.

Mr. Rosenkranz joined FibroGen's Board in 2010 and served in a number of capacities during his tenure with the Company, including as a member of the Compensation Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and the IPO Committee. The Company is extremely grateful for his service over the past decade and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
