EVERETT, Wash. (AP) _ Fortive Corp. (FTV) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $192.8 million.

The Everett, Washington-based company said it had net income of 52 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.03 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 97 cents per share.

The industrial conglomerate posted revenue of $2 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.98 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $738.9 million, or $1.97 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.32 billion.

Fortive shares have climbed almost 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $77.87, a climb of roughly 4% in the last 12 months.
