JT is included in DJSI Asia Pacific for the sixth consecutive year

Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) (TSE: 2914) announces today that it has been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices Asia Pacific (DJSI Asia Pacific), the worldwide index for Socially Responsible Investment (SRI)1 for the sixth consecutive year.

The DJSI is a collaborative initiative by S&P Dow Jones 2 Indices of the United States and RobecoSAM3 of Switzerland. It assesses the sustainability performance of companies, based on economic, environmental and social criteria.

From among approximately 600 major companies in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, 148 companies (76 Japanese companies) are included in the DJSI Asia Pacific this year.
