Announcement of Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Makita Corporation is pleased to announce that it has resolved at a meeting of the Board of Directors held today to voluntarily adopt International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") in preparation and disclosure of its consolidated financial statements and other financial reports from the first three-month period of the year ending March 31, 2019 with the aim of improving the international comparability of its financial information in the capital markets.

The disclosure schedule for voluntary adoption of IFRS is as follows:
