On March 19th, PTC's President & CEO Jim Heppelmann published a blog article about PTC's response to the COIVD-19 crisis and what we're doing to prioritize business continuity for our customers. My name is Brian Thompson. I run PTC's Creo CAD business, and I want all our active customers to enjoy uninterrupted use of Creo so you can keep on doing your job. I give you my commitment we'll do all we can to keep you up and running.
Help Accessing Your Creo Licenses
Almost everyone is dealing with office closures. If you have problems accessing Creo from home or where you're working, our first and best recommendation is that you use a VPN to access your company's internal license server. It really works well - thousands of customers all over the world work from remote locations using this approach. We've compiled a list of resources to learn about this here.
We recognize, however, that this might not work for you for a variety of reasons. I'm absolutely committed to getting you productive immediately - even if it means granting you your own license. Please, just call our technical support team. Our professionals will work with you to get you up and running as soon as possible.
Learning and Doing More with Creo
I bet you're probably spending more of your time in front of your computer than you ever thought possible! Well, we'd love to make that time as productive as possible, so we're going to make a series of special, online resources available to everyone. Now just might be the best time for you to sharpen your Creo skills!
Here's the plan:
If you've ever attended LiveWorx as a Creo user, you probably found the Product Managers' tips and tricks sessions very informative. It's almost always our #1 ranked session at LiveWorx. We'll be doing these online. These are 5-minute demos of capabilities within Creo, directly from my staff, designed to make you more productive every day. They'll be recorded so if you can't watch live, don't worry! We hope to have the dates, times and topics finalized next week.
Maybe you'd like some training that's a bit more extensive - no problem. PTC University has decided to make eLearning courses available, for free, to ALL users. User limits on eLearning access have been removed, and the team is currently working on unlocking all product eLearning. If you've ever wanted to know about other PTC products, now is your chance. Again, we'll have finalized information next week.
Additionally, we will be hosting a regular series of virtual instructor-lead Creo training modules. These sessions will run for about 30 minutes and they will be delivered by PTC's team of fantastic Creo Learn instructors. I expect we will do these once a week - but keep an eye out here for updates.
Finally, I'm sure you'd like to stay up to date on everything our R&D team is doing to make the next version of Creo even better. Well, you're in luck, because, on April 28, 2020 | 10 am ET & 4 pm ET, we will be hosting a free virtual event Get Up to Speed with CAD: Capabilities, Trends, and How To Put It All To Work. Sign up here, and be sure to learn everything you ever wanted to know about Creo 7.0, which is shipping mid-April.
