Dear Shareholder,

Selection/Re-selection of means of receipt and language of corporate communications

We, Shangri-La Asia Limited ("Company"), are writing to ask you to select/re-select your preferred means of receipt and language of the Company's corporate communication(s) ("Corporate Communication(s)") including any document(s) to be issued by the Company for the information or the action of holders of any of the Company's securities, including but not limited to:

1. annual report;
2. interim report;
3. notice of meeting;
4. listing document;
5. circular; and
6. proxy form.

The Corporate Communications will be prepared in English and Chinese versions which will be available on the Company's website at www.ir.shangri-la.com and on the website of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited at www.hkexnews.hk. The printed copies of the Corporate Communications will also be available from the Company or its branch share registrar, Tricor Abacus Limited ("Registrar").

Please indicate in the attached Form A - Reply Form ("Reply Form") whether you wish to receive the future Corporate Communications:

• by electronic means, through the Company's website ("Electronic Version"), with written notifications of publication of the Corporate Communications to be sent to you at the time of publication; or
• in printed form in English only; or
• in printed form in Chinese only; or
• in printed forms in both English and Chinese.

You are encouraged to select the Electronic Version which is a more convenient and prompt method of communication with shareholders.

Please complete the Reply Form and return it to the Registrar within one month from the date of this letter ("Reply Deadline") (a) by email to [e-mail], or (b) by fax to (852) 2890 9350, or (c) by post using the mailing label in the Reply Form.

If by the Reply Deadline, the Registrar does not receive your reply via the Reply Form, you will be deemed to have selected Electronic Version. If you select Electronic Version, notification letter of the publication of Corporate Communication(s) on the Company's website will be sent to you by email or by post on or before the day of despatch of such Corporate Communication(s) to shareholders.

You may change your preferred means of receipt or language at any time, free of charge, by completing and returning to the Registrar a form of change of preference by email, or by fax, or by post. A copy of the form will be available from the Registrar.
