Snam, represented by the General Counsel Marco Reggiani, took part in the Italian Business Integrity Day 2018, held at the Italian Embassy in the United States, in Washington, and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Transparency International Italia.

The event was introduced by the Italian ambassador to the US, Armando Varricchio, and saw the testimonies of representatives of Transparency International Italy. In a round table discussion, Reggiani illustrated the best practices and the preventive approach of Snam in the fight against corruption, from the signing of an 'ethical and integrity agreement' between the company and its suppliers to the approximately 1,700 reputational audits carried out in 2018 to promptly identify any indicators of anomalies among the subjects wishing to supply goods or services to Snam.

Snam is one of the four companies in the world to have a global partnership with Transparency International to combat corruption. It is also the first Italian private company to be part of the Anti-corruption Committee of the OECD and this year it was invited to participate in the work of the task force dedicated to integrity and compliance under the aegis of the Argentine presidency of G20 and B20.
