NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3) OF THE COMPANIES ACT
In accordance with Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 ('Act'), and
Section 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised
that the Company has received formal notification in the prescribed form of the following
movement in securities of the Company:
Investec Limited ('Investec') on behalf its clients, has acquired an interest in securities in the
Company such that Investec´s total interest in the securities of the Company amounts to
5.0294% of the total issued share capital of the Company.
The requisite notice in terms of Section 122(3(a) of the Act has been filed with the
Takeover Regulation Panel.

WoolWorths Holdings Limited is one of the South African leaders in retailing. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- distribution of clothes and consumer products (49.3%): clothes for men, women and children, shoes, beauty products, accessories and homeware;
- distribution of food products (47.3%);
- other (3.4%): primarily financial services.
At the end of June 2021, the group had a network of 1,279 stores broken down by name into WoolWorths (545), Country Road (689) and David Jones (45).
Net sales break down geographically as follows: South Africa (61.4%), Africa (2.5%), Australia and New Zealand (36.1%).
