Dominion Energy Inc. on Friday said its chief financial officer, James Chapman, is leaving to take a senior finance role outside the utility industry.

The Richmond, Va., provider of electricity and natural gas said Steven Ridge, who currently leads its western gas operations, would succeed Mr. Chapman as chief financial officer later this month.

Mr. Chapman, who joined Dominion in 2013, has been chief financial officer since November 2018. Mr. Ridge joined the company in 2014.
