He holds five patents in these fields.
He earned a BSEE degree in 1975 from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Charpentier is also Chairman of the Board at JVC Technologies, an IT deployment firm based in Plymouth Meeting, PA, and serves on the Board off ViaGate, a New Jersey-based company producing broadband VDSL technology.
