In addition to her responsibilities at BVP, Ms. Leamon serves as Research Associate at the Harvard Business School, where she writes cases on venture capital and private equity with Felda Hardymon and Josh Lerner.
Prior to joining the VCPE team, Ms. Leamon co-founded HBS’s Center for Case Development.
She has authored more than 70 cases and is deeply involved with the VCPE Game, a massively parallel online simulation of the venture capital and private equity markets.
With Felda and Josh, Ms. Leamon co-authored the third and fourth editions of the Venture Capital & Private Equity casebook.
Before she joined Harvard, Ms. Leamon was a senior business analyst at L.L.
Bean and previously worked for Central Maine Power Company as a senior economic and load forecaster.
Her work in local area electric load forecasting won an Industry Innovators award from the Electric Power Research Institute, and she published several papers and addressed conferences on the project.
Ms. Leamon earned a B.A.
(Honors) in German from University of King’s College/Dalhousie and an M.A.
in Economics from University of Montana, where she studied urban redevelopment.
She expects to receive an M.F.A.
from the Bennington Writing Seminars in January 2008.
