Charlie joined Neurogen in 2002 as Vice President, Drug Regulatory Affairs.
He had previously served as Senior Director and Global Therapeutic Area Leader for Central Nervous System and Pain drug candidates, Pfizer Global Research & Development, Worldwide Regulatory Affairs in New London , Connecticut .
He led the efforts behind several successful new drug applications, including Pfizer’s drug, Geodon ™ , launched in 2001 for the treatment of schizophrenia.
Charlie began his career at Pfizer in 1993 and moved through a series of positions of increasing responsibility to become Senior Director.

Charlie holds a B.S.
degree in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut at Storrs , and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston .
He also held a postdoctoral fellowship in Industrial Clinical Pharmacy at Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc. in New Jersey .
