Charlie Fraas

Charlie Fraas is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Operations at Gemspring Capital.
Charlie has over 25 years of experience leading transformations and driving profit enhancement and has worked with over 50 clients executing projects across the strategic and operational spectrum including: strategic planning, post-merger integration, BPO / shared service adoption, robotics process automation, sourcing and procurement, supply chain network, lean manufacturing and ERP / technology implementation.
Prior to joining Gemspring, Charlie led a boutique advisory firm focused on operational transformation, profit enhancement, and restructuring / turnaround engagements in a variety of industries, including aviation, brokerage, distribution, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, retail, services, and technology, for clients including H.I.G.
Capital and TPG.
He has held various transformation leadership and restructuring roles including Interim CEO, Interim President, Interim COO, Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO), and Chancery Court Trustee (Delaware).
Previously, Charlie held several roles at 1800flowers.com, including Sr. VP of Improvement, Sr. VP of Operations, and COO, as he oversaw all of the operations including call centers, distribution, transportation, sourcing and procurement, customer database marketing, and florist operations.
Prior to 1800flowers, Charlie started his career at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte Consulting, spending 13 years in various practices including audit, bankruptcy and transaction advisory, marketing analytics, operations, retail industry, strategy, supply chain, and several technology teams.
Charlie serves on the boards of Insurvia, Outform, and Skyline.
Charlie received a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
