Egbert Bierman

Egbert Bierman transitioned into his role as Senior Investment Director at Transamerica Ventures after serving as SVP of Group Strategy and Performance Management at Aegon NV.
While leading the creation of the corporate venture fund, Egbert spent time establishing a broad network in the venture capital and start-up communities.
In his past role, he worked with various Aegon business units in sharpening their respective strategies and monitoring their performance.
Egbert will concentrate on identifying early-stage companies in Europe that fit the strategic objectives of Transamerica Ventures and the Transamerica and Aegon organizations while also utilizing his extensive internal network to provide start-ups with the right home within the organization.
Egbert graduated from the University of Groningen and previously worked in the Netherlands as a tax attorney.
