George Michael Renouf

Mr. George M.
Renouf is Head of Client Management at Liontrust Investments Ltd.
and Head-Investor Relations & Client Management at Alliance Trust Plc.
After leaving Edinburgh University in 1985, Mr. Renouf joined the CitiGroup graduate training program and worked in their multi-asset strategy group in London.
His primary role was to advise UK companies on their risks management and balance sheet exposures.
He joined Edinburgh Fund Managers (EFM) in 1988 as Head of Fixed Income where he managed and launched several unit trusts in the FI and equity sector.
He also managed balanced multi-asset funds as well as having responsibility of managing segregated global multi-asset client funds.
This included global investment trusts as well as regional specific and income orientated trusts.
He was a Director of EFM and Managing Director of Edinburgh Derivatives, a standalone subsidiary.
After 17 years at EFM, Mr. Renouf became an Independent Consultant specializing in business development and investment and risk procedures.
After working for government agencies, industry bodies and investment management business he joined Cornelian Asset Managers as their Strategist where he remained for over two years before joining Alliance Trust in 2008.
He is an active member of a number of industry groups providing guidance and comment on the issues that affect Alliance Trust and the asset management sector as a whole.
