Jones is an Investment Director at Quilter Cheviot Ltd.
His primary role within the firm is as a Discretionary Fund Manager of private client, pension, trust and charity portfolios, the majority of which are located across the North of England.
This involves the day-to-day management of the underlying clients’ investments, consistently reviewing portfolios to ensure they remain suitable for the clients’ investment profile and attending review meetings to discuss past performance and provide guidance on current market conditions.
He also works closely with the firm's Regional Development Managers to develop avenues for new business, primarily with financial advisers.
Mr. Jones started his career with Liverpool Stockbrokers Neilson Hornby Crichton in 1984 and after spending four years there and a further 2 years working for another broker, Robert White, in Manchester, he returned to Liverpool in 1990 to work at Tilney Investment Management, where he spent a total of 21 years.
Prior to the merger of Quilter & Co. Ltd.
and Cheviot Asset Management Ltd.
in June 2013, he joined Quilter & Co. in October 2011 to take up the role as an Investment Manager.
He qualified as a member of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in September 1990 and is now a Fellow of the Chartered Institute.
