Mr. Mazurek has experience in corporate distressed debt investing.
His background includes analysis and valuation of various types of distressed and defaulted securities and loans, as well as involvement in the related restructuring and reorganization transactions.
Between 1992 until 2002, Mr. Mazurek was employed in the Distressed Debt Group at Oaktree Capital Management, LLC and its predecessor Trust Company of the West, most recently as Senior Vice President.
From 2002 through 2005, Mr. Mazurek was a Director at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC, helping lead its successful distressed debt and special situations investing.
Mr. Mazurek has also worked as a high yield portfolio manager or investment analyst at various firms including Metropolitan West Asset Management, LLC, Zenith Insurance Company and Fred Alger Management, where his experience extended to high yield bonds, leveraged loans, private placements, mezzanine investments, and equities.
Mr. Mazurek attended Yale University, where he received both an M.A.
and B.A.
degree in Russian and East European Studies.
