Matan Friedman

Mr. Friedman joined BVP in 2008.
Most recently, Mr. Friedman was Manager of Strategy and Business Development for Ze-Gen Inc., an early-stage Boston-based developer of advanced waste-to-energy technology.
While in Boston, Mr. Friedman also engaged in consulting projects for early stage startups in the recycling and water purification sectors.
Previously, he was a Business Analyst with McKinsey and Co.’s Tel Aviv office, where he consulted on productivity improvement, business development, strategy and corporate finance.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Friedman held a series of roles in the Intelligence branch of the Israeli Defense Force, attaining the rank of Lieutenant.
It was during this time, as he worked on R&D related projects that his interest in energy and efficiency began.
Mr. Friedman holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S.
in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
