In 1961, Mr. Pekin joined Mesirow & Company, a Chicago-based investment firm, serving as its President from 1977 to 1985.
He earned a B.A.
in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1957 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1958.
He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Midwest Securities Trust Company.
Other industry experience includes serving as Governor of the Midwest Stock Exchange and Director of Midwest Clearing from 1986 to the present.
