Shuli Moalem-Refaeli

Shuli Moalem-Refaeli is a religious Zionist former Member of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), who served in the Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home) Party between 2013-2019, and as the chair of the party between 2015-2019.
During her time in the Knesset, Shuli was an influential leader of multiple important initiatives, including economic affairs, women’s rights, support for Holocaust survivors, employment equality, suicide prevention, public health, combatting human trafficking, and more.
Further, she served on the foreign affairs, ethics, and House committees, among others.
She chaired multiple lobbies, including the Lobby for Agunot and Mesuravot Get (equality for women in divorce matters), the Lobby for Female Knesset Members, the Lobby for Strengthening the Jewish Connection to the Temple Mount, the Lobby to Bring the Soldiers Home, and the Lobby for Equality in Health, among others.
Prior to her political career, Shuli completed her military service with the rank of sergeant in the Israel Defense Forces.
Later, she received a BA in Nursing and an MA in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ben Gurion University.
Shuli was the head nurse at the Soroka University Medical Center, and subsequently was put in charge of its risk management department.
Shuli is actively involved in Holocaust remembrance and education.
She is also the author of the published book “Moalem my Love” (2001), which is a collection of letters she wrote to her husband Moshe Moalem, commander of the Beaufort Battalion in Lebanon, following his death in the tragic helicopter disaster of February 1997.
Shuli speaks Hebrew, English, and Arabic, is married with seven children, and resides in Israel.
