Profile

Prior to joining Forstmann Leff Associates LLC, Mr. Lurito began his career in 1985 as a research analyst at Sanford Bernstein & Company.
He joined Warburg Pincus Asset Management (WPAM) in 1987 and subsequently helped launch WPAM's small cap business.
In 1988, he helped launch Warburg's new small-capitalization and emerging growth equity business with Beth Dater; the product reached $1B by 1993.
In 1990 he was named co-portfolio manager of the small cap equity team and in 1992 was named Managing Director of WPAM.
Mr. Lurito served as Research Director until 1998, when he was appointed Co-Chief Investment Officer of WPAM, with responsibility for over $23B in AUM.
In 1998 he was appointed to the Operating Committee and also helped guide the firm through its subsequent sale and merger into Credit Suisse Asset Management.
Mr. Lurito has a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
