Prior to joining Berkshire, Thomas held a number of operating roles at Circuit City and Capital One Financial.
He also worked as COO of Heritage Union, a start-up life insurance company.
Earlier in his career, Thomas was a consultant at Bain & Company and a market development engineer at GE.
Thomas received an M.B.A.
from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and a B.S.
in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1990.
