Thomas Valks

Mr. Valks is responsible for both Canadian and U.S.
equity portfolios within Montrusco Bolton’s American Equity team.
Before the merger of Montrusco Associates Inc. and Bolton Tremblay Inc. in February 1999, he managed foreign and domestic equity portfolios with Bolton Tremblay.
Prior to joining Bolton Tremblay in 1998, Mr. Valks was a portfolio manager with the CMHC Pension Fund in Ottawa.
His nine-year career with CMHC also included the roles of senior investment analyst and economic analyst with that organization.
Earlier in his career, he worked with B.V.
Algemeen Vermogensbeheer (GIM), an investment management organization based in The Netherlands, where he managed international equity portfolios including a U.S.
REIT mutual fund.
Mr. Valks is a graduate in economics from the HEAO-school in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Management Accountant.
