Prakash is a Managing Director and Group head of Industries, Technology and Services at British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution.
In this role, he is responsible for BII’s direct equity, direct debt and fund investments across Africa and South Asia.
Prior to joining BII, He spent 30 years at the International Finance Corporation, Washington, DC where he held several positions throughout his career including Director of Investments, Asia-Pacific (Hong Kong), Global Head of Agribusiness, Regional Manager South Asia (New Delhi), Country Manager, Philippines (Manila).
In these roles, he chaired Investment Committees, led investment teams for a program of $1.3 billion per annum and a portfolio of $4 billion, and managed key client relationships.
Vipul completed his MBA at the University of Maryland, USA.
