Nexity : joins the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI)

NEXITY JOINS THE BLOOMBERG GENDER-EQUALITY INDEX (GEI)

Nexity has become one of the 325 companies around the world (including 12 in France) that have been selected for the 2020 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). This index singles out companies that take a transparent approach to gender equality and promote gender equality in the following five areas: female leadership, male-female pay equity, inclusive culture, policies against sexual harassment and gender- conscious product offers.

"Human capital is Nexity's most precious asset. Gender and other forms of diversity and inclusion need to be taken seriously by all of us, and contribute to the Group's performance. We categorically reject any form of discrimination (whether it is based on sexual orientation, social origin, etc.), which is an absolute contradiction of our values", explains Nexity's Chairman Alain Dinin. "We are proud to have become a member of the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, which pays tribute to things we have been doing in this arena".

Moreover, the Strategic Committee has signed Nexity's "Being Inclusive Together" Charter approved by 400 managers in September 2019, based on the fundamental principle of diversity, including gender diversity.

With regards to gender equality in the workplace at Nexity, efforts to increase the number of women in management positions with a 35% target for 2020, appointed based on their skills, have already been included in the variable compensation criteria for members of Nexity's Strategic Committee and senior management.

Another cornerstone at Nexity is its internal network, established in 2018, tasked with the main objectives of promoting the emergence of concrete and innovative actions, providing platforms for experiences, best practices and advice to be shared between network members and employees as well as attracting new candidates via meaningful initiatives.
