OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Lindsay Corp. (LNN) on Tuesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $5.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Omaha, Nebraska-based company said it had net income of 51 cents.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 49 cents per share.

The irrigation equipment maker posted revenue of $113.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $113.7 million.

Lindsay shares have fallen nearly 3% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined almost 3% in the last 12 months.
