IDIADA Division

Applus+ is aware that the Government of Catalonia has initiated a bid process to select a consultant that will advise it on the preparation of a possible tender for a new twenty year concession for the IDIADA business.

Applus+ manages the business of the IDIADA Division through a concession from the Government of Catalonia which started in 1999 for a period of twenty years, with possible five year extensions for up to fifty years. The current extension ends in September 2024.

For the full year 2019, the revenue of the IDIADA business that is subject to this potential tender was €234.5 million and the adjusted operating profit was €29.0 million. The Applus Group owns 80% of the business and the remaining 20% is owned by the Government of Catalonia.

After more than twenty years successfully managing this concession that has made IDIADA a global leader in design, engineering, testing and homologation for the automotive industry, Applus+ is well positioned to win the tender that the Government of Catalonia will potentially convene.
