Financials Up Alongside Yields -- Financials Roundup

07/29/2021 | 04:59pm EDT

Shares of banks and other financial institutions rose alongside the yield on the 10-year Treasury note.

Shares of Robinhood Markets fell sharply on its stock-market debut after the trading app priced its initial public offering at the low end of a planned range.

U.S.-listed shares of Credit Suisse Group fell after the Swiss bank said top employees failed to act on numerous warning signals before it lost billions from family office Archegos Capital Management in March.

Credit-card provider Mastercard logged an increase in second-quarter revenue and profit, pointing to the continued recovery in domestic and cross-border spending.

Carlyle Group reported sharply higher second-quarter earnings as growth in the value of its private-equity portfolio outpaced the broader market.
