Earnings season. Home Depot and Tyson are among companies reporting earnings.

Bayer’s adjusted Ebitda for Q3 beat estimates. Bayer posted adjusted Ebitda for the third quarter that topped analysts’ estimates. It came in at 2.20 billion euros, while the highest analyst estimate was 2.14 billion euros, according to Bloomberg data.

New focus for LafargeHolcim. The cement company will sell the 80.6% controlling interest in its subsidiary Holcim Indonesia to Semen for €1.56 billion.

Trouble at TI. Despite the denials, Amos Genish was in the line of fire at Telecom Italia, of which Vivendi is the largest shareholder. The board of directors revoked its powers this morning.

QMA to buy Quant Hedge Fund. Money manager QMA is buying Wadhwani Asset Management as part of a strategy to expand globally, Bloomberg reports. Led by Sushil Wadhwani, a former member of the monetary policy committee of the Bank of England, the London-based investment firm manages about $1.4 billion and uses computer-driven models to trade across asset classes. QMA is part of Prudential Financial Inc.

Briefly. Mastrad raises €0.4 million at €0.35 each. Paragon ID takes over assets from RFID Discovery. Michelin is conducting a limited recall of tires sold in Canada. Implanet signs a distribution contract for Madison. BioMérieux introduces the Filmarray pneumonia panels.

No Mercedes on Fifth Avenue. The White House has produced a draft report on the protection of the internal car market through tariffs, which should be discussed today by Trump and his advisers.

Apple drops. A new series of warnings from Apple's subcontractors caused the Californian brand to drop on the stock market yesterday, causing a snowball effect on the semiconductor segment.
