ABIDJAN, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Ivory Coast expects a 25% drop from last year in main crop cocoa arrivals due to poor weather conditions, the director of the Coffee and Cocoa Council (CCC) regulator said on Wednesday.

The CCC has started selling cocoa export contracts for the 2024/25 season but some multinational companies are refusing to buy them unless Ivory Coast lowers its country premium, said CCC director general Yves Brahima Kone. (Reporting by Ange Aboa; Writing by Nellie Peyton)
