FTSE 100 Gains as Mining, Oil, Banking Stocks Rise

The FTSE 100 Index rises 0.3% as miners, oil stocks and banks gain on the back of higher oil and commodity prices. Anglo American, Antofagasta, HSBC, NatWest and Royal Dutch Shell are among the biggest risers, offsetting losses for drug and consumer-goods shares. Brent crude ticks up 0.6% to $75.59 and gold and silver prices advance 0.3% and 0.6% respectively. British Land gains 0.8% after the property developer reported better activity and performance since lockdown restrictions were eased and said it has collected 85% of its June rent.
