Sept 30 (Reuters) - Demand for U.S. crude and petroleum products fell 428,000 barrels per day (bpd) in July to 20.3 million bpd from a 34-month high in June, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration Petroleum Supply Monthly report on Friday.

Demand for finished motor gasoline, meanwhile, fell 378,000 bpd to 8.7 million bpd in July, the lowest since February, the EIA said.

Crude production, meanwhile, rose 0.1% to 11.8 million bpd in July, highest since April 2020, the EIA said in its monthly 914 production report.

In top oil producing states, monthly output rose 0.9% to 5.0 million bpd in Texas and 2.5% to a record 1.6 million bpd in New Mexico, but fell 5% to 1.0 million bpd in North Dakota.

That was the most oil output in Texas since April and the lowest in North Dakota also since April.

Gross natural gas production in the U.S. Lower 48 states rose 0.1 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) to a record 109.6 bcfd in July.

That topped the prior all-time high of 109.5 bcfd in June.

In top gas producing states, monthly output fell 0.1% to 31.0 bcfd in Texas and rose 0.6% to 20.7 bcfd in Pennsylvania.

Output hit a record of 31.1 bcfd in Texas in June and 21.8 bcfd in Pennsylvania in December. (Reporting by Scott DiSavino and Laila Kearney in New York and Arathy Somasekhar in Houston Editing by Marguerita Choy)
