Mainstream Renewable Power has reached financial close on a 97.5 megawatt solar farm in South Africa, with construction starting this year and the project becoming fully operational in 2025, it said Tuesday.

Power generated from the farm will be delivered via the national grid to Sasol and Air Liquide's operations under 20-year power purchase agreements.

Mainstream Renewable Power is a renewable-energy company majority-owned by Aker Horizons, an investor in renewable energy and other emissions-reducing technologies.
