TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Accelerate Diagnostics Inc. (AXDX) on Tuesday reported a loss of $22.8 million in its fourth quarter.

The Tucson, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of 34 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 23 cents per share.

The maker of systems that diagnose drug-resistant infections posted revenue of $3.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $77.7 million, or $1.26 per share. Revenue was reported as $11.8 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $2.27. A year ago, they were trading at $8.78.
